Shocking Sales Statistics

1 July, 2009 (19:40) | Contact Management, Statistics, eBooks | By: admin

I just want to take this opportunity to welcome you to the CCS blog.  I hope to use this as an arena to get you information that can help you grow your business as well as interesting information that I come across.

One of the things that I have been talking a lot with clients and associates recently is about follow-up.  Following up with your clients, your prospects, your referral partners, and even your friends and family.  Often we get so busy trying to move forward, that we forget that we have some great opportunities right in front of us that if we just followed up and followed through on, could take our business to the next level.  Below is an incredible sales statistics that I have been discussing and wanted to share.

Sales Statistics

48 % of Sales People Never Follow up with a Prospect

25% of Sales People Make a Second Contact and Stop

12% of Sales People Only Make Three Contacts and Stop

Only 10% of Sales People Make More Than Three Contacts

2% of Sales are Made On the First Contact

3% of Sales are Made On the Second Contact

5% of Sales are Made On the Third Contact

10% of Sales are Made on the Fourth Contact

and 80% of Sales are Made On the Fifth to Twelfth Contact

Wow!!  Were you as surprised by this as I was?  With all of the people we meet, we often find it hard to continue after the first or second or definitely after the third non-commitment contact.  How do you keep track of all of these contacts?  What do you say to them when you contact them?  What format counts as a contact?  These are all great questions that I look forward to helping you address in future blogs.

If you have a system that you use to handle your contacts and follow-ups, I would love to hear about it.  So please leave us a comment with information about what has worked and even what hasn’t worked for you.

Another resource I would like to offer to you is our new ebook due out July 2009:  Make Your Networks Matter - Turn The People You Meet Into Profitable Client$

This ebook helps to address the issue of how and when to follow up prospects and other contacts.  It guides you into creating a repeatable system to follow up with your contacts and prospects to help your business acquire those 80% sales.

This ebook is written specifically for network marketers and direct sales professionals.  However, the subject covers a basic fundamental process for acquiring and following up with all contacts that can be applied to all businesses.  This is a tool that any business, or organization, can use to be more effective and efficient in finding, and converting new prospects into profitable, loyal clients.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing your feedback soon.
